Colour Therapy, based on principles from the Su-Jok system and Ayurvedic Acupressure, uses specific colours to influence energy flow and restore balance in the body. In Su-Jok, colours are applied to classical meridian points as well as remote correspondence points on the hands and feet. The therapy works by stimulating specific frequencies in the body, helping to harmonize imbalances linked to different organs and functions.
According to Ayurvedic Acupressure, which incorporates the ten-element system, colours are chosen to balance elemental energies. For example, blue calms excessive heat (Agni), red stimulates vitality and circulation, green promotes balance and harmony (Vāyu), and yellow enhances grounding and digestion (Pṛthvī). These colours are applied to acupoints using special colour markers, tapes, or light therapy to influence the body’s natural healing processes.
In both systems, colour application is a non-invasive method to enhance acupuncture treatments or serve as a standalone therapy. It is particularly effective for pain relief, emotional balance, and energy restoration. By using colours strategically on meridian or correspondence points, practitioners can activate healing responses, making it a simple yet powerful tool for holistic well-being.
